"Murder in Cottage Country", the Fifth Estate

Murder in Cottage Country

What an incredible opportunity and experience we were given after our website was found by the Canadian Broadcasting Company (CBC). We were approached by the CBC to use our dogs for some tracking footage for an upcoming documentary related to a crime that had occurred in Muskoka. We had about 2 weeks to train them to work in tracking mode. Jazz and Luke, as well as Dale, playing the part of an OPP Canine handler, made their film debut for the upcoming documentary for CBC-Fifth Estate! So proud of our dogs for how well they worked with strangers, drones in the air and cameramen. With a very short time to be prepared, Jazz and Luke took to tracking within the bush like pros!

One of the police officers in the documentary with the dogs is Dale, there is Jazz and Luke doing the tracking, and I was the trackee, getting the dogs to work for the film crew. Here is a link to the episode. Please watch and enjoy!!

It's a dark tale of people vanishing, mystery, and suspicion of murder: Nearly two decades ago in a secluded part of Ontario's cottage country, four elderly people disappeared without a trace. Police spent years searching for bodies, clues and answers. To this day, the seniors have never been found -- and no one has been held accountable for their disappearance.

Now, in a joint investigation with The Walrus magazine, The Fifth Estate uncovers long-secret police documents and new details about the people who went missing, the suspects police had in their sights and clues to what may have happened.
